Unpredictable climate

Scientists are unable to forecast the weather of India. In recent days we all have seen the climate is just unpredictable in different region of India. We have seen massive destruction on 11 April in Agra where “Thunderstorms accompanied with gusty winds” had killed 43 people in Agra with massive destruction to the buildings of city.

Just like that, Rain in different regions of India tuned into flood. The structures of building From big apartments to small houses, they all have seen problems during the rainy seasons and nobody knew what to do.  

So here came up with some tips to protect yourself and your house from heavy Rain:

•  Clear Rooftop

When you find that the weather around you is just changing into rain or cloud became dark then first thing to do if you are in your home is to check the rooftops of your house that they have enough holes to pass the rain water from then to drainage system because if rain water got stuck on roof then make roof wet and water from rooftop might came inside the rooms.

•  Check drainage system

You have to properly check the drainage system of your house and regularly clean it because if water stuck into your house then a light rain will became flood for you.

• Water coming from streets into your house

Many times water from street came into your house if floor of your house was below the street level then you can build a temporary wall against the water coming from street.

•  Cut power supply

Many times government will automatically cut the supply in rain other time not, then if electricity supply is there you should switch off the all electricity appliances and store them upstairs, where water is able to reach them. Don’t touches to power board to switch off them use some insulator like wooden bar or plastic comb to switch them off.

• Close each and every doors and windows

Many times we just forget to close all windows of your house before leaving and water enters from here to our house.

•  Regularly repair your house

Regularly repair your doors, windows, walls of your house so that water will not come from cracks, holes, gaps in glass of windows.

To protect your yourself:

1.  Reach higher place of the building.
2.  Avoid using elevator, use stairs.
3.  If you are driving then stop your vehicle.
4.  Wait for rain to stop.
5.  Check toilets properly before using them because in rain snakes and insect might come from them.
