Android is just like a mobile operating system, users have no idea what their smartphones can do. It is the main source of business for the application market because now applications are not just an application they can track your payment activity, your bank details and a rooted android phone is an open-source phone where intentional hackers can go into root folders and can easily track behaviors of other apps, as well as inject malware that can send data in the background to unknown servers.

Android is a Linux-Based Operating System fully powered with a lot of features from the manufacturers. It is not fully Open Source but google allows mobile phone companies to customize it. Google provides the interfaces(it's a technical term in programming), i.e Google gives the instruction that the manufacturer can customize this part of the phone but you have to provide the implementation of this functionality it is a must to provide.
Google is coming up with a lot of functionalities that we users can also customize, and Samsung is the top seller in the android market, its One UI with a lot of customization including floating actions, you don't need to install applications from PlayStore as UI is fully packed with a lot of features.
Hardware Button Customization
UI is not the only thing you can customize, you can customize hardware physical buttons like volume up/ down, power buttons. You can set gestures with these buttons, a combination of pressing 2 or more buttons trigger like this can be set easily and you don't have to root your android phone for this.
Samsung has this option to customize different triggers like a long press, short press, double press, triple press. You can set triggers to open different applications like open camera app (which is most used), torch, emergency calls, volume silent, etc.
Xiaomi's MIUI has an inbuilt trigger for the torch open can close using the physical button that helps a lot, Samsung must have to implement this feature.
Rooted Phone IMEI number.
IMEI number of any mobile phone is its identity. IMEI stands are International Mobile Equipment Identity, you can imagine it as your citizenship card in your country(Green card for American or Aadhar Card for Indians) that is unique to you, and it has all your basic or we can say that current information, same for your mobile device.
Now think of a scenario that a person has your citizenship card or 2 persons in a country have the same citizenship card id, then it will be conflict. If one person does the crime then maybe the police can arrest others because they use the same citizenship id, in the eyes of the government they are the same. That is the same with a rooted device as it can tweak its IMEI number and in the future, he can use a different IMEI to perform any malicious activity and blame another phone.
Applications can use roots to control your life.
Normal Applications from the play store can check for root in your device, and once found if they want they can cause you harm, it is intentional. Like running their applications all the time, even after you exit, keeping track of apps that you use most, installing applications in the background without user interacation.
Even applications without root can check for in-app user activity to suggest content that you like the most. Google provides different Api's that developers use to get user activities, like on which button which group of users mostly click, users daily use their applications or not, at which time users use their applications in the night, or morning, even they can get real-time users data based on geographical location, age groups, and other parameters also.

Buy a mid-range phone.
No matter how you love your phone in the initial days of buying it, but after some time in 2-3 months new phone with the same brand or different will come, with features that you don't have in your phone so it is not a good choice to buy a costly one if you are experimenting with rooting things, and if you are a celebrity then android is suck for you are your main device.
You can ask why I said this, do celebrities are not allowed to use rooted android phones, I can share one for secret with you that most celebrities don't use gifted phones from their fans, and if it's an android then never.
Because as I mentioned anyone can root an android phone, nowadays without a laptop and can install and hide apps that can run in backgrounds, or give certain permissions that can track user activity.
